    Make way for baby
Local baby store retailer opens second location in Hoboken

HOBOKEN, NJ – Entrepreneurs Beau Kuhn and Selina Aquino are bringing the Brooklyn baby to Hoboken with the Grand Opening of their second location of Wee Babe, Friday, June 14, at 415 Washington St.

The specialty store features a line-up of top notch, parentally-rated baby gear, gadgets and apparel for babies and beyond. The first location opened last year in Williamsburg, another bustling baby town. The success of that store paved the way for the location in Hoboken, where Kuhn lives and Aquino had worked for more than a decade. The store specializes in selling only those products that are parent approved and is competitively priced with other baby specialty stores.

"Our vision for Williamsburg was working and we were making so many deliveries to Hoboken when we came across an ideal location," says Kuhn, a mother of three. "Besides that fact that this city is my home, Hoboken is a small geographical area with lots of families. And it's a walking city, which is perfect for our products."

The Wee Babe success is based on personalized service and an educational approach to products. "Part of the reason our concept is working is because we look at our staff as educators, not sales people," says Aquino, who is also a mother of three. "Our product selection is based on our personal experiences, customer feedback and lots and lots of research and product testing. We strive to have the newest, best products and provide very personalized customer service."

The 800-square-foot store features such popular baby brand names as Clek, BumbleRide, Baby Jogger, Beco and Mama's and Papa's. The Grand Opening celebration is at 1:00 pm on Friday and will run Friday and Saturday with free gifts with purchase, giveaways and raffle prizes while supplies last. The raffle lineup includes goodies from Aden+Anis; Mum2Mum; Vulli; Suppori; Tivoli Couture, Fred's Swim Academy, Stokke and strollers by Baby Roues and Quinny.

Please call us directly at 201.222.3792 to learn more, schedule a store tour or get a demo on some of the latest baby gear.

  • FUNDRAISER for Liberty Humane Society and Store Opening JUNE 1st

On Saturday June 1st, Nourishing Wisdom for Mom + Baby + Wellness, located at 112 Willow Avenue in Hoboken, will open its doors. Hudson County families will finally have access to a one-stop shop for all your holistic pregnancy and parenting needs. You no longer need to travel into NYC or go online to find classes and products that support normal birth, breastfeeding and natural parenting and family living!

The boutique's owner, Rebeca Four, is a mom, childbirth educator, certified and experienced birth doula, board certified lactation consultant and a certified integrative health coach, who has supported hundreds of families in Hudson County in achieving their childbirth, breastfeeding and parenting goals. She has first-hand knowledge of the most common challenges parents experience and is offering classes to address these needs, such as: Nutrition in Pregnancy, Childbirth Preparation, Comprehensive Breastfeeding, Understanding Infant Sleep, Infant Massage, etc.

Rebeca is passionate about holistic living and supporting small and women-owned businesses, so the boutique will sell a variety of organic, made-in-the-USA pregnancy and infant products, such as bath and body care items, infant carriers, toys, books and much more. Madi, Rebeca's 8-year old daughter, is even getting into the mix!
