Celebrate your school spirit and win a chance for an ice cream party for the whole school when you join Hoboken Family Alliance at our School Spirit Event at Ben & Jerry’s, Hoboken, N.J., on Thursday, May 18.
The school that comes out to buy ice cream, creates a new ice cream combination in The Flavor Contest and/or submits entries into the Ice-Cream Art competition will qualify to win an End of School Ice Cream Party for the entire school, courtesy of Ben & Jerry's.
The benefit night helps HFA generate awareness and recruit volunteers for the Hoboken Bike Camp, June 26-June 30. Ben & Jerry’s, a founding sponsor for the Bike Camp in its 7th year, will donate a percentage of sales from School Spirit Night to the camp. Each summer Hoboken Bike Camp teaches individuals with disabilities to ride a two-wheel bike with the help of two professionals and a team of more than 50 volunteers.
The event will feature performances, giveaways and raffles, including an autographed Eli Manning Giants jersey. Schools earn points by:
• Coming out to buy ice-cream on May18 ANYTIME throughout the event (one point for each purchase)
• Entering a unique flavor combo in The Flavor Contest (one point for each submission)
• Showing in words, picture or paintings what makes ice-cream so good, starting May 1. Entries should be posted on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/HobokenFamily?ref=hl (two points for each submission)
Contest submissions are allowable through 11 PM EST on May 16 to count toward a school's total points. Points are accrued based on a ratings system that includes contest engagement and creativity and turnout on May 18 as a percentage of school population. Winners will be determined by the HFA board.
