Independent film is honest portrayal of special needs challenges

Be part of a movement to broaden special needs inclusion in our community. Join families and friends for a movie screening of a fine independent film, Including Samuel on Tuesday, Nov. 16 at 7 PM at the United Synagogue of Hoboken. (115 Park Ave.)

The documentary film was created by photojournalists Dan Habib, whose son Samuel has cerebral palsy. Shot and produced over four years, Habib’s award-winning documentary film, Including Samuel, chronicles the Habib family’s efforts to include Samuel in every facet of their lives. The film is an honest portrayal of his family’s hopes and struggles as well as the experiences of four other individuals with disabilities and their families. Including Samuel is a highly personal, passionately photographed film that captures the cultural and systemic barriers to inclusion. Visit for a preview of the movie and to learn more about the National Inclusion Program.
